Soccer shoes donation sets world record

It was really cool to see the world record set for soccer shoes placed end to end in a chain. Over 10,000 pairs of shoes were collected and donated to children in soccer loving countries where soccer shoes are often just a dream. The shoes were set-up in a chain at the recent National Soccer Coaches Association NSCAA show in St. Louis.

Area coaches and parents, led by our good friend Jan Scriven, spearheaded the local effort, gathering over 2,000 pairs of shoes from Troy, Ohio. She, of course, used the One Call Now notification service to help coordinate volunteers and collection activities.

One Call Now pitched in to pay for shipping the shoes to the nationwide collection point in North Carolina. A lot of kids will be helped by this program!
